Meetings are open to members and guests. We have an annual subscription and a small fee per meeting. See below for membership and meeting details. Please email us if you are not yet a member and would like to come along. New Venue from September 2008: Meetings are held in a room at the Harpenden Friends Meeting House, 12 Southdown Road, Harpenden, AL5 1PD but please check the programme for specific details. The annual programme includes speakers who are professional writers. There are also workshops on different subjects such as novel-writing, poetry, non-fiction, script-writing and short stories. Approximately every alternate month members read a selection of their work to receive constructive criticism from fellow members. Also included are discussions of books that the group have read. We also have outings of interest to writers, e.g. theatre visits. Ideas for meetings? Please contact us. |
